Who we are
Soft France provides AI automation services and software for businesses (the “Service”), at softfrance.co.uk and app.softfrance.co.uk. The Service is operated by Softfrance Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16480313, registered office: Unit 82a James Carter Road, Mildenhall, Bury St. Edmunds, IP28 7DE, United Kingdom. Softfrance Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described below. For any privacy question, contact us at contact@softfrance.fr.
What we collect
- Account & business details: your name, email, phone, business name and the settings you enter.
- Data you put into the Service: your clients, jobs, quotes, invoices, price book and messages.
- Payment information: handled securely by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your card details.
- Call data: if you use the AI Call Catcher, incoming calls to your number may be answered, transcribed and summarised by our AI so the job can be logged. Callers are contacting a business line; please make sure your call handling complies with your own obligations.
- Usage & technical data: basic logs needed to run and secure the Service.
How we use it & legal basis
We use your data to provide and improve the Service, process your subscription, and keep things secure. Our legal bases are: performance of a contract (running your account), legitimate interests (securing and improving the Service), and consent where required.
Who we share it with (sub-processors)
We only share data with the providers that make the Service work, under appropriate safeguards: Supabase (database & auth), Stripe (payments), Twilio (phone numbers & call routing), Deepgram and Cartesia (speech-to-text and voice), Google and Anthropic (the AI models that draft quotes, replies and call responses), Resend (sending email), and Hetzner (hosting, in Europe). We never sell your data.
Separately, our public marketing website uses Umami (self-hosted), Microsoft Clarity, the Meta Pixel and the Google Ads tag. See the Cookies section below. These run on the website only, not on your business data inside the app.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal and accounting obligations. You can ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to delete it, at any time.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email contact@softfrance.fr. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies & tracking on this website
Inside the app (app.softfrance.co.uk) we use only the cookies strictly necessary to keep you signed in and the Service secure. No advertising cookies there.
On our public website (softfrance.co.uk) we do use measurement and advertising tools, and we would rather say so plainly than bury it:
- Umami: privacy-friendly visitor statistics, self-hosted by us. No cross-site tracking.
- Microsoft Clarity: anonymised session recordings and heatmaps, so we can see where the site confuses people.
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel: measures whether our ads lead to enquiries. This is advertising technology and it does involve cross-site tracking.
- Google Ads tag: attributes enquiries to Google ad clicks. Also advertising technology.
How to switch it off. Visit softfrance.co.uk/?notrack=1 once on a device and this site will stop firing the analytics, session-recording and Meta advertising scripts on that device. You can also block these through your browser settings or a tracker blocker. None of this affects your ability to use the Service.
